South Morocco is one of the last paradises on earth. Because of political disagreements, a nearly 600 km of coastline has been forgotten in recent decades.
3 large dunes start from the city named Ahkfenir and take their way to the south, passing Tarfaya, Laayoune, Boujdour, Dakhla, Mauretania and finally Senegal.
Huge investments started already respective in the near future:
- Chbika Sahara Atlantique, a city for tourists with hotels, apartements and golf, marina, shops etc.
- The port of Tarfaya will be ready soon and a ferry connecting to Fuerteventura shall start latest end of 2016.
- OCP – one of the largest producers of phosphate – started to build an ecological and scientific center named Technopol near the port of Foum al Oued.
