The works of the port of Tarfaya will be comleted by the end of march 2017.
- The president of the gouvernment of Tarfaya, Mohamed Salem Behiya, says to be “ready” to start operations in the renovated Moroccan port.
- The president of the Chamber of Commerce Fuerteventura, Antonio Rodríguez Marichal, believes that this line “will contribute significantly to strengthen business of Fuerteventura and Lanzarote”.
- Luis Ibarra, president of the Port Authority of Las Palmas, confirmed that Armas maintains its plan for the future line to end in Gran Canaria.
Luis Ibarra told that the Armas shipping company persists in its project that the future Puerto del Rosario-Tarfaya line ends at the port of Luz in Las Palmas.
